Moni news is an unassuming little place near the viaduct on Preston Road. Inside though, you will find a surprising selection of goods crammed into a small space; stationary, cleaning products, magazines, pet food, frozen foods, fresh foods, alcohol, the list goes on.
This would be the perfect pit stop if you're having a picnic on Preston Park, you could bag yourself a surprisingly large packet of ham for £1.49, not the best quality but better value than a supermarket. Throw in a few samosa's, a sausage roll, some cheese, bread, a big old packet of crisps and a bone for the dog and you've got yourself a thoroughly enjoyable, if slightly unhealthy, afternoon.
Important notice: Moni is one of a few stockists of Chaula's Home Cooked Traditional Indian foods; a small family run Business based in Lewes - Highly Recommended! Though I found no sign of this while I was there.
